To put it shortly... after camping Golka for days... no quest horn... is it so difficult to get quest horn? Anyone knows how this quest exactly works? I thought its quite simple... get pt, kill The Cow, get last hit - someone in pt gets quest horn...

I'm not that pro, but there's only a chance to get the horn, if your party get the last hit. This chance will be reduced, if somebody in your pt is already DNsubbed.

This is claimed, but I honestly believe it's a bunch of bullcrap.
Tidus got Horn with like 8 people in party, of which he was the only one unsubbed.
So technically he'd have a very low chance at getting Horn, but he did.

@harrier, the bigger problem is getting the last hit, 'cos the whole server wants the cows you know.
You need Tidus for that one, he rocks at last-hitting ;D

There are 5 Golkonda's on server:
Imperial Tomb - (4 sepulcres)
Wall of Argos
Aligattor Island - (aka Heine whereabouts)
Angehell Waterfall
Tower Of Insolence 11th Floor.

All 4 (except TOI's one) drop QUEST item 4 party that LAST HIT and have a 5% chance of "extra drop (tradable)" Horn.

TOI's Golkonda is dropping 80% of the times 2 TRADABLE HORNS and is giving NO LAST HIT (quest) one.

So, if u want to try to get a quest, keep on waiting a golkonda (not TOI's one).

For the RETAIL QUEST, only TOI's Golkonda will spawn Golkonda's BOX, so u just need to wait them kill it. Don't hit golk since u don't need (no need to kill yourself)

Piinco, even being a dwarf he can party to let them last hit... SmellyCat (friend of mine) got horn alone with 1 dmg of a pp... (ok ok, once only in a lifetime... And it was HEINE's one) Shit happens

I got mine from a fully DNsubbed party, too.

Yes it DOES lower a bot but 5% for EACH already subbed char, so the LOWEST it can get it's 55% chance on last hit... That's why sometimes no one get the horn...

Still, better have full good party.

I agree with the others, try the queshorn. For the drop-horn you may need to PK 3-5 partys in ToI :S. The lunargent/coin-horn takes either a lot of time, or some RL money.

Some ideas how to enhance the chance for last hit:
- If you've got necromancers/spellhowlers in party, reduce you HP nearly to 0 and try CDL. As you only want to do last hit, and start hitting when the cow reached 25-30%, the chance of getting killed by it is low. If you want to go save, use those scrolls you can buy from the DawnPriest (Seal-Validation), or get Noblesse in party.
- Try to get a TY/Destro in party, if possible with DemonSplinter. Frenzy+Bison+DemonsSplinter gives good dmg in quick time.
- Daggers/Archers can attack from beginning with the leathel-blow/shot-skill.
